Diving Deeper into the Common Core-Science
Overview:
Subject-specific sessions on implementing the Common Core State Standards and Ohio Revised Academic Standards.
Why You Should Attend:
Attendance will offer Ohio charter school teachers valuable information about the new standards specifically designed around their content area. Participants will:
- Review the Common Core and Revised Standards
- Use the Crosswalk and Comparative Analysis Tools
- Learn Instructional Strategies that align with the new expectations
- Increase their understanding of 21st Century Skills
- Collaborate with other Charter school teachers from across the state
- Receive links and resources to help with implementation
- Get to know PARCC and the upcoming assessments

It is strongly recommended that participants prepare by bringing a binder/folder with the following items:
- For ELA and/or Math- A Copy of Common Core State Standards including Appendices. Visit www.corestandards.org/the-standards
- For Social Studies and/or Science- A Copy of Ohio Revised Standards and Model Curriculum. Visit www.ode.state.oh.us, in the search bar type Social Studies Revised Academic Content Standards (2010) and Model Curriculum
